Probate
When a California resident dies, his or her estate is normally subjected to probate. The probate process ensures that the assets and money in a person’s estate are allocated to their heirs. Even when there is a will involved, the probate process requires numerous steps. Probate usually entails confirming the will’s existence, locating and inventorying the property, evaluating the property, paying debts and taxes, and eventually distributing the remaining assets.

Administration of Trusts
Trust administration is a procedure that many people are thrust into following the loss of a spouse or parent who established the trust prior to their death. The management of trusts is a lengthy and difficult process.
It is not simple to serve as a trustee, which is why you should consult with an estate planning attorney from The Law Office of Steven G Cuevas. Estate tax legislation is complex and nuanced, affecting how assets are valued and distributed to beneficiaries.
Estate Planning, Will, and Trust
Estate planning is the process of deciding how to manage and distribute your fortune while you are living. You may own these assets alone or jointly with others.
Planning for your assets’ preservation and distribution during life and after death. It is achieving personal and family goals, easing financial and legal affairs management, and minimizing taxes if your estate is substantial enough. An estate includes all of your assets, including real estate, business interests, investments, insurance money, personal property, and even your personal effects. An “estate plan” is the method by which your estate is distributed to your heirs after your death.
